Our two in-hall fitness centers offer an intimate atmosphere with hours convenient for our students. Memberships are reasonably priced and available to all on-campus residents and UVM staff.

HOW TO JOIN

On-campus students: check back in August for more details. After you fill out the form, allow two business days for membership activation. Sorry, off-campus students are not eligible.

 

COST

  • Academic Year: $125
  • One Semester: $75
  • Winter Package (Nov. 1-April 1): $75

 

ACADEMIC-YEAR HOURS

Monday-Thursday 8 a.m.-11 p.m.
Friday  8 am.-8 p.m.
Saturday 11 a.m.-8 p.m.
Sunday 11 a.m.-11 p.m.

UVM STAFF

UVM Residential Life Staff requesting access to the UVM Fitness Center should visit housing.uvm.edu, register with their @uvm.edu email, create a password, and complete the UVM Staff Fitness Center Request.

All other UVM Staff requesting access to the UVM Fitness Center should email Residential Life for further instructions.

All staff must complete the UVM Staff Fitness Center Request each year to request access to the fitness centers. 

Fitness Center cost:

  • Resident Advisor: Free
  • Fitness Center Staff: Free
  • ResLife Full-Time Staff: Free
  • Police Services: Free
  • Other Staff: $90 (full academic year) or $50 (one semester)

REFUNDS

  • Cancel within the first two weeks for a full refund.
  • If you purchased an academic year pass, you may cancel it for spring semester within the first two weeks of spring semester.
  • No refunds after that, unless you bought an academic year pass and are leaving UVM. In that case, we will credit $50 for student memberships, and $40 for UVM staff memberships.
  • All membership charges/credits will appear on your student account.

RULES

We want everyone to enjoy our facilities, so please be considerate. Failure to adhere to the rules below could mean termination of your membership.

  • Bring your UVM ID every time and scan it when you enter.
  • Comply with all reasonable requests made by fitness center staff.
  • Wear athletic sneakers at all times -- no sandals or work/hiking boots.
  • Shirt & other athletic clothing required. No jeans, Carhartts, etc. that hinder or reduce movement, or that may damage equipment.
  • No loud or abusive language.
  • No spitting in the drinking fountains.
  • Do not drop, throw, or clank weights. This creates excessive noise and presents a major safety concern.
  • Clean up after yourself:
    • Unload all weights from all machines when you are finished.
    • Re-rack dumbbells and plates in order.
    • Wipe down all equipment with disinfectant and towel.
    • Put away all magazines and other materials.
    • Put weight bars and grips away in appropriate place.
