ARE YOUR WINDOWS TIGHTLY CLOSED?
Lift the latch, shut the window, and then close the window latch tightly. This is important because during cold weather, windows not closed tightly can cause heating pipes to freeze and then burst, creating a flood in your room and in rooms all around you.
IS FURNITURE BLOCKING THE HEATER?
Room heaters work by convection. Air is sucked into your heater at the bottom, is warmed, and then comes out the top. Anything blocking air intake at the bottom prevents your heater from working its best. If your heat does not seem to be working at all, please let us know right away!
IS YOUR BED NEAR THE WINDOW?
In some halls where windows are not as well-insulated as others, condensation can be a problem in the cold months. Placing a towel on the windowsill can help soak up moisture. To be most comfortable, you may want to rearrange your room so your bed is not near the window.
