Undergraduate Studies in Psychology
The Department of Psychology offers both the Bachelors of Arts (B.A.) and Bachelors of Science (B.S.) degrees in Psychology; a few of our junior and senior level classes are run as seminars that include laboratory and/or field based research components. Qualified psychology majors also have the opportunity to conduct independent research and an honors thesis option.

Teacher Advisor Program (TAP) combines interactive courses with careful academic advising, while the Academic Introduction to the Major (AIM) is a second-semester program for transitioning into a potential major.

Honors Programs Study Abroad
The Honors College offers an intensely focused, academically challenging environment for some of UVM's most outstanding undergraduate students. You can experience honors education through the John Dewey Honors Program and College Honors.

Psi Chi is the National Honor Society in Psychology, founded in 1929 for the purposes of encouraging, stimulating, and maintaining excellence in scholarship, and advancing the science of psychology.

Work-Study in Psychology Advising
Work-Study is a federally funded program which pays students wages for part-time employment during the academic year. UVM has over 3,000 work-study positions both on and off-campus.
