Provost’s Faculty Fellow for University-Wide Assessment
This fellow has responsibilities for promoting and supporting the assessment of learning outcomes at both the program and institutional levels (including General Education). The fellow contributes to the design of the assessment system, coordinating its various processes, and provides outreach support and guidance to the academic units and the General Education assessment committees. The fellow reports to the Vice Provost for Academic Affairs.
Provost’s Faculty Fellow for Advising and the First-Year Experience
This fellow is a member of the Academic Success Center (ASC) leadership team. The fellow helps plan, implement and assess University programs to support academic advising and the first-year experience; works with campus constituencies to plan, implement and assess advising and FYE programs delivered by the ASC; and works collaboratively with faculty, staff and students to achieve ASC goals. The fellow reports to the Vice Provost for Student Affairs and the Vice Provost for Academic Affairs.
Provost’s Faculty Fellow for Diversity and Inclusion
This fellow has responsibility for promoting diversity and inclusion campus wide, and assumes a leadership role in advancing specific diversity and inclusion initiatives that directly support our academic and student success priorities. The fellow leads a University Diversity Fellows Program. The fellow reports to the Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs and the Vice Provost for Academic Affairs.
Provost’s Faculty Fellow for Learning Community Courses
The Provost’s Faculty Fellow for RLC Courses, is charged to 1) engage faculty and students in the residence halls, and 2) represent the Provost’s Office in providing central academic leadership for the emerging Residential Learning Community courses, serving as an institutional leader in support of first- year students at UVM. Working closely with the Vice Provost for Academic Affairs, the fellow has responsibility for the administration of the 1-credit theme-based first-year courses in the Residential Learning Communities, and coordination to ensure the incorporation of key course elements in all of the Residential Learning Community courses, including those in the Wellness Environment and the Honors College. The fellow supports and provides guidance to faculty teaching the RLC courses, cultivates the unique learning environment in which the courses are embedded, and oversees the assessment of student learning in the one-credit RLC courses. The fellow reports to the Vice Provost for Academic Affairs, and the Vice Provost for Student Affairs.
