    Special Speakers:

    Reggie Condra<https://www.facebook.com/reggie.condra> has been taking PrEP and will discuss his experience with getting on PrEP and keeping up with is daily regimen.

    Johnny Chag<https://www.facebook.com/johnny.chag> is living with HIV, and will discuss the experience he has had with being in the dating pool in the age of PrEP, as well as new information on the CDC's stigma-reducing effort,
    "HIV Undetectable = Untransmittable".

    Dr. Devika Singh, MD, of the UVM Medical Center, is an Infectious Disease Physician and an Assistant Professor at Larner College of Medicine. She will explain the process of getting a prescription for PrEP at UVM MC, and also insight to specific questions about Truvada, the drug currently used for PrEP.

    Focus points:
    **How much of an issue is HIV in Vermont?
    **How do I talk to my doctor about PrEP and sexual health?
    **What are the costs?
    **What are some other safer sex options besides PrEP?
    **HOW DO I GET PREP?

  • Ericka Hart: "Where Are All the Black People?" Keynote Speech

    Join UPB on Tuesday, October 9 at 7:30PM in the DC’s Grand Maple Ballroom for Ericka Hart, a queer femme sexuality educator. Her keynote address entitled “Where Are All The Black People?” is a multimedia interactive storytelling experience that holds space for black folks at all intersections to see themselves mirrored in the world and serves as an educational resource for individuals and organizations working with marginalized communities. This event is in collaboration with UPB, the Center for Health and Wellbeing, with help from the MOSAIC Center, the Prism Center, and the Gender, Sexuality and Women’s Studies Department.     o Set up the table with buttons, stickers, and signs promoting International Pronoun day

    o If possible, set up a backdrop (LGBTQ flag) for people to take photos in front of with pronoun signs. I can bring my own camera for this. Ask permission if we can post their photo on our social media (Instagram or Facebook).

    - Reach out to campus partners and student groups and ask them to post on social media their thoughts on the importance of using correct pronouns for people, or tagging us in a picture about how they incorporate pronouns in their group/department. Ask them to tag us in their post and use the #PronounsDay hashtag.

    o i.e. Using people’s correct pronouns is important to us because it helps people feel welcome at the _______ Center.

    The LGBTQA Center hosts a monthly meal in the Allen House from 5:15-6:30pm. Show up to meet new people, connect with other LGBTQ community, and enjoy free, homemade food! Gluten free and vegan options provided.

    The LGBTQA Center hosts an annual awards and graduation ceremony each spring, complete with music, food, and fun, to celebrate UVM's LGBTQA community, its many achievements, and the LGBTQA students who are graduating - both undergrads and grads.
