University of Vermont Outing Club Presents Outing Club Festival 2003

Welcome to the First Annual UVM Outing Club Fest to benefit the Green Mountain Club! This three day event was set up to bring the Vermont outdoor community together for a weekend of music, entertainment, and great deals on gear. A portion of the proceeds from this event go to the education division of the Green Mountain Club in order to bring awareness and respect for the outdoors.

The University of Vermont Outing Club, founded in 1932, is a student run organization that provides 4-season wilderness trips, technical skill instruction and backcountry rental equipment to the UVM community. The UVM OC also brings wilderness related events to the Vermont outdoor community, such as the Banff and Telluride film festivals and numerous slideshows.

This event is a first of its kind in Vermont! It promises to bring outdoor enthusiasts of every walk of life together to share in a weekend of music and entertainment!

Raffle

Over $4,000 worth of prizes!!! Prizes include lift tickets to various ski resorts, Karhu Ruckit skis, Line skis, gear from Outdoor Gear Exchange, and tons of other prizes. The drawing will be at the concert on Saturday night. Winners do not have to be present to win.

Friday Contra Dance Only - $5.00 day of show only

Friday and Saturday Concerts - $10.00 Students and $15.00 Public (For both the Contra Dance and Saturday Concerts!)

TGR Kayak Video Wehyaking- $4.00 Students and $5.00 Public

Information

All backpacks are subject to being searched at the concerts. No alcoholic beverages or illegal substances are permitted. Also no bottles or cans are allowed on premises. Bathrooms, drinks, food and water will all be available.

Parking

Friday - During the festival on Friday, people are encouraged to use public transportation to reach the campus. If driving, you must park in visitor parking at Waterman or at a metered space by the water tower close to the hospital. Click to see the campus map. After 6pm, people who are coming to the contra dance can park anywhere. Please follow all posted signage!

Saturday - Parking is available at all spaces. Once again, please follow parking regulations posted on university signs.
