About Cryst'l Scheer

Cryst'l Scheer is an end-of-life doula, certified thanatologist, and small business owner based in Williamsburg, VA. She is dedicated to end-of-life education and community outreach.

Her business, Summit Care Partners, offers a wide range of personalized services, presentations, and workshops. Designed to meet the diverse needs of individuals, organizations, and businesses, services are available both remotely and on-site.

As a founding co-chair of the Virginia End-of-Life Doula Collective and a regional discussion facilitator for the National End-of-Life Doula Alliance (NEDA), Cryst’l believes that fostering professional growth and connection with other end-of-life doulas will strengthen the impact of their work. She supports collaborations that create space for education, resource-sharing, and emotional support, helping end-of-life doulas to serve their clients and community better.

A native Oregonian, Cryst'l earned her Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Oregon State University. She is a NEDA-proficient, INELDA-trained, end-of-life doula (EOLD) who completed professional training through Peaceful Presence in Bend, Oregon, and received her EOLD Professional Certificate through the University of Vermont Larner School of Medicine.

Cryst'l is certified as a Qualified Advance Directive Facilitator in Virginia, a Guided Autobiography instructor through The Birren Center for Autobiographical Studies, and a certified Legacy Navigator through Living Wisely.

She believes it is never too early to proactively prepare for a thoughtful, intentional final stage of life.

Cryst'l enjoys road trips, spending time with her family, hazelnut lattes, and Halloween.
