Session Dates

Orientation sessions are offered on specific dates by academic college throughout the month of June. We suggest you register before making travel arrangements as sessions can fill up (all sessions are not available for every college).

To be fair, an equal number of spaces in each entry-level course are reserved to be made available at each session.

Orientation registration will be open in February 2019 in your myUVM portal.

Common Questions

Can I attend a session not listed for my college?

No. Because academic advising and course registration is a crucial part of the Orientation experience, students must attend a session that is being advised by their specific college.

Can I change my session date?

Absolutely, but please note that sessions may reach capacity - if you change your session date you may not be able to change it back. You can easily modify your reservation in the Orientation Reservation System.

Can I attend only 1 day of a session?

No. Because academic unit meetings occur on one day, and advising and registration occur on another.  We recommend students plan to attend a different session if they are not able to be present for both days.
