Register for Orientation

Once you've got your dates, you know the program, and you've chatted with your family to see if they're coming - it's time to register.  

 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

 

BILLING OPTIONS

Attendance for Orientation is free for new students (unless Early Arrival Housing is needed).  Billing information applies to costs for early arrival housing or family member attendance options. If you add any of these options to your registration you will be prompted with a payment option upon completing your registration:

Pay with a Credit Card (Recommended)
Upon completing your registration you will be presented with the option to pay by card.  The University of Vermont payment system accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.  

Bill to Student Account
Charges not paid upon completing your registration will be placed onto your student financial record.  This balance MUST be paid prior to attending Orientation.  Balances can be accessed on the Financial tab of the myUVM student portal.  For help accessing or paying a balance on your account, please contact Student Financial Services.

 

REGISTRATION

Registration for Orientation is completed online through your myUVM Student Portal. Registration will be live in February 2019. Once live, log in to myUVM via the link below, and navigate to the Orientation section on the upper left hand side of the page to begin your registration:

CONFIRMATION

Upon completion of your reservation a confirmation e-mail will be sent to your personal e-mail account listed in your reservation. Eventually, all official communication from the University of Vermont will be sent to your UVM e-mail account - so be sure it's set up and to get in the habbit of checking it frequently.

 

UPDATING / CANCELLING MY RESERVATION

You can update or change any information in your reservation by logging back into the Orientation Reservation system via the link provided in the reservation confirmation e-mail sent to your personal e-mail account.  If cost changes are associated with your account you will be given the option to pay any additional fees you may have incurred upon submitting your changes.   

Please note: Our system will allow you to update your registration once; additional changes will need to be made by contacting our office with an update request.  

Common Questions
 
Can I change my session date?

Sure! Simply log back into the Orientation Reservation System and select a new session date. Please note however, that session dates fill up quickly as we approach June - if your original date fills up you may not be able to switch back.

Our family situation is unique - how do we register correctly?

Contact the Orientation Office with your question and we'll help you register appropriately.

Can I arrive the day before my session?

Yup. When registering select "Early Arrival". There are also early arrival options for families for those family members staying on campus.

Can I stay the day after my session?

Unfortunately we do not have access to the facilities to house students the day after their orientation session. Please plan accordingly with the knowledge.
