Biography

Tristan D. Toleno

Elected to the Board by the Vermont State Legislature in 2015 for a six-year term ending in 2021. Re-elected by the Vermont State Legislature in 2023. Term expires in March 2029. Born in Ithaca, NY, Tristan grew up in Marlboro, VT and graduated from Brattleboro Union High School; Wesleyan University, BA; New England Culinary Institute, AOS; Marlboro College, MBA. Member of the House of Representatives since 2012; currently serving on the House Appropriations Committee. Tristan is a legislative appointee to the State Workforce Development Board (2013 - present); a member of Brattleboro Sunrise Rotary; former managing partner and chef of Riverview Cafe (2000-2011), and owner and chef of Entera Catering (2012 - 2019). Tristan previoulsy served as Adjunct Professor of Systems Wisdom at Marlboro College MBA (2012-2020), director of the MBA program (2016-2020), and interim Dean of the Graduate School (2019-2020). Since 2019, Tristan has worked as the CFO/COO of Global Round Table Leadership, a certified B Corp virtual training company which guides teams and organizations on how to share leadership and power. Married to Susie Webster-Toleno, who serves as the minister to the Congregational Church of Westminster West and as a hospice chaplain; 2 adult children, Owen and Malcolm.
