Forest Research Technician

MiriamĀ is a forest research technician within Professor D'Amato's lab and mainly focuses on continuous forest inventory (CFI) measurements. The hope is to learn about the forests' growth and change in composition over an extended period of time and how that might influence silvicultural practices. Most of Miriam's field work is within UVM's four research forests, Jericho, Talcott, Wolcott, and Washington Forests. She also assists with other field projects within the lab. During the off seasons, she helps at the Spear Street Aiken Forestry Sciences Lab with processing samples collected during the field season.
