Biography

Kenny Nguyen

Appointed to the Board by the Associate Directors for the Appointment of Student Trustees, Inc., in 2022. Term expires in March 2024. Educated at Purdue University, BS, Neurobiology & Physiology, 2018; Harvard University, MEd, 2021; UVM Larner College of Medicine, MD candidate, class of 2025. He currently serves as a Student Ambassador for the College of Medicine and was formerly Leader of the ENT/Otolaryngology and Yoga Student Interest Groups. He was selected as a Summer Research Fellow in 2022 to conduct research with the UVM Division of Otolaryngology on radiation use for salivary gland cancers, for which he was awarded the Summer Research Fellowship Merit Award. Kenny is also Technical Associate I for the Senseable Intelligence Group of the MIT McGovern Institute and Harvard Medical School. Before medical school, Kenny worked as Lead Medical Scribe at INScribe from 2018-2020, and as Hiring Director for Indiana Emergency Care from 2020-2021. At Harvard, Kenny served as the Harvard Graduate School of Education (HGSE) Co-Representative to the Harvard Graduate Council, and as a Senator for the HGSE Student Council. At Purdue, Kenny served as Student Body Secretary of the Purdue Student Government.  He was previoulsy a Summer Research Fellow at the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, where he studied mitochondrial transport in neurodegenerative diseases.
