Rashmi Narsana

Rashmi has more than 15 years of nonprofit experience focusing in strategic planning, operations management, business development, knowledge management, organizational design, financial management, systems and process restructure and redesign, and project management. Currently, as CEO of CGT Strategy, Inc., she works with non-profit organizations and small businesses to provide institutional strengthening and capacity building strategic advice. Clients include McREL, WestEd, CNA, Manhattan Strategy Group, University of Vermont, Mission+ Sustainability, Save a Mother and Aavegh. Prior to consulting, as the COO for Jobs for the Future (JFF), she oversaw business strategy and drove operational excellence ensuring that all the connection points within and across the JFF worked efficiently. Prior to JFF, she served as the Managing Director of Business Development (BD) for the Education division of American Institutes for Research (AIR). She implemented efficient processes for successful submission of more than 400 proposals annually, worth over $400M for 650 staff across the country. She restructured the publications unit (20FTE and 15 contractors, 5000+ products annually). She also supported the design and implementation of long-term programmatic and financial strategies for the program, including new business development and operations. Prior to AIR, Rashmi served as Director of BD at Learning Point Associates (LPA) where she oversaw business development strategy along with project management and quality assurance. Rashmi has an M.S. in Applied Economics and Community Development from the University of Vermont.
