Post-Doctoral Associate

I am a Post-Doctoral Associate in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Vermont (UVM). My research focuses on nonlinear waves and their physical applications. Nonlinear waves are abundant in science and engineering. They include optical pulses in fibers, light beams in crystals and internal waves in the ocean, and so on. Mathematically, nonlinear waves can be described by nonlinear partial differential equations (PDEs). This research has direct applications to fiber telecommunication systems, nonlinear optics and oceanography. My Post-Doctoral advisor at UVM is Professor Jianke Yang.
