CPT Patrick Harvey is an Assistant Professor of Military Science for the University of Vermont’s ROTC program. CPT Harvey earned his Bachelor of Arts in English and Political Science from Tulane University, Louisiana. He was commissioned in 2012 as a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Transportation Corps. He is a graduate of the Transportation Basic Officer Leaders Course, and Logistics Captains Career Course.

CPT Harvey has served in various leadership and staff positions. His first assignment was to the 615th Aviation Support Battalion, 1st Air Cavalry Brigade at Fort Hood, TX. While assigned to 615th Aviation Support Battalion, CPT Harvey served as a Supply Support Activity Platoon Leader, Executive Officer, Logistics Officer (S-4), Support Operations Transportation and Ammunition Officer from 2012 to 2015.

Following the Logistics Captains Career Course, CPT Harvey was assigned to the 82nd Airborne Division Sustainment Brigade as the 189th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion Support Operations Supply Management Officer. In 2016 he was assigned to the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division and served as the rear-detachment Brigade S-4. CPT Harvey’s most recent assignment was as the Commander of Delta Troop, 1st Squadron, 73rd Cavalry Regiment.

His awards and decorations include the Meritorious Unit Citation, the Basic Parachutist Badge, the Meritorious Service Medal, the Army Commendation Medal, the Army Achievement Medal (with one oak leaf cluster), the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, and the Army Service Ribbon.

CPT Harvey and his wife Anna are from Mobile, AL and Lafayette, LA. They had their first child in December 2018.
