Military Science Instructor/Sustainment NCO

SFC Kirk High was born in Fort Worth, Texas. He entered the U.S. Army in November 2000. He attended One Station Unit Training at Ft. Knox, Kentucky earning the MOS 19K, Armor Crewman. SFC High has held a variety of positions including Tank Platoon Sergeant, Tank Commander, Tank Gunner, Section Sergeant, Instructor/Writer, Detailed Recruiter, Assistant Operations Sergeant and Senior Facilitator. SFC High’s other assignments include A Co. 1-63 Armor, Vilseck, Germany, USAREC, Dallas BN, C Co. 2-5 Cav. Ft Hood, Texas, A Co. 1-81 Armor, Fort Benning, Georgia, and C Co. 1-6 IN, Ft Bliss, Texas. SFC High has deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (2009-2010), Operation New Dawn (2011-2012) and Operation Spartan Shield/Inherent Resolve (2017-2018). SFC High’s military education and certifications consist of Master Leader Course, Senior Leader Course, Advanced Leader Course, Warrior Leader Course, Army Recruiter School, Basic Instructor Course, Common Faculty Development Instructor Course, Cadre Training Course, Mobile Gun System Commanders Course, and Equal Opportunity Course.

SFC High’s military awards and decorations include the Army Commendation Medal (1 Silver OLC), Army Achievement Medal (3 Bronze OLC), Joint Meritorious Unit Award, Meritorious Unit Commendation (1 Bronze OLC), Army Superior Unit Award, Army Good Conduct Medal (6 Knots), National Defense Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal (2 Bronze Star), Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, NonCommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon (Numeral 4), Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (Numeral 3), Army Recruiter Gold Badge (3 Sapphires), Combat Action Badge, Expert Marksmanship Badge, German Armed Forces Schutzenschnur Badge, Army Driver’s Badge with “T” device and the prestigious Order of St George.
