UVM Catamount Farm Stand

There are a variety of ways to purchase produce grown at the farm: through our CSA, at Burlington's Old North End Farmer's Market, or at our weekly Farm Stand.

In addition, some of the produce grown at the farm is sold to UVM Dining Halls. Students can look for Catamount Farm grown produce at a number of locations.

Farmer's Market

You can find Catamount Farm grown produce at Burlington's Old North End Farmer's Market. This market takes place in Dewey Park every Tuesday from mid-June through October, 3-6:30 pm.

Farm Stand

Starting in late August we open up our Catamount Farm Stand. This is a great way to purchase the many varieties of apples grown at the farm, our diverse array of vegetables, and our grapes. We operate the Farm Stand through early November on Fridays from 10 am to 4 pm.

Community Partnerships

The Horticulture Research and Education Center has opened itself up to additional partnerships with organizations within the Burlington area. These organizations utilize land at HREC while also contributing to the stewardship of the land and offering classes, workshops, and tours to local residents.

Friends of the Horticulture Farm

Formed in 1994, the Friends of the Horticulture Farm (FHF) is a grassroots organization dedicated to protecting, enhancing and promoting the significant plant collections and natural areas of the UVM HREC for education, research, and public enrichment.  The group, composed of interested citizens, local garden club members, professional horticulturists, and landscape architects, is working in partnership with the University of Vermont to develop both short-term and long-term plans to provide for the stewardship of this wonderful and important resource. The Friends also sponsors public programs, and engages in fundraising and collections preservation.

Branch Out Burlington

The Burlington Community Tree Nursery is a community-based partnership linking the UVM community, the City of Burlington Department of Parks and Recreation, and the local citizenry. The UVM HREC hosts the BOB nursery where trees are grown from saplings into plantable specimens that are installed throughout the city of Burlington.
