We’re here to help you find a community in one of our 275+ recognized student organizations. The Student Government Association (SGA) works to ensure our student organizations receive support and funding for programming, operations, and leadership development - allowing students to explore their interests while obtaining valuable career skills in the process.

Over 80% of UVM students are involved in at least one club or organization - and with about 200 SGA recognized clubs, we're sure to have at least one that'll help you expand your intellectual and social spheres.

Getting Involved

The barriers to engaging with the clubs you’re interested might seem intense - but we’re here to help make the process as easy as possible. Looking for ways to get involved? Here are a few options:

ActivitiesFest

ActivitiesFest is UVM's annual club fair, where Student Government Assocation-recognized student organizations (RSOs) gather to promote their offerings to the student body. This event is a great opportunity to chat with club members to learn more about your opportunities for engagement.

The Club & Org. Interest Survey

Administered by the Department of Student Life, this survey helps new students identify the organizations that pertain to their specific interests. This aids us in connecting clubs with interested students, assisting them with getting involved during their first semester at UVM.

This survey is often completed during orientation - but can be taken anytime online prior to the start of their first semester. Responses are shared with clubs at two points during the year - at the start of the fall and spring semesters.
