Words, Pictures, and Ragnarok: Comics as the Trickster's Tool

Thursday September 27th
4:00 - 5:30pm
in the Silver Maple Ballroom, Davis Center

Words and pictures were born from the same source, but grew apart over millennia. The medium of comics brings them back together and reminds us—just as Loki and Eshu and Bugs Bunny do—that the boundaries imposed by humans upon the world are porous and prone to collapse. A crackpot rumination on the relationship between letterforms, representational drawing, and the twilight of the Norse gods.
