The Office of the Vice President for Human Resources, Diversity and Multicultural Affairs is excited to announce UVM’s annual Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration, Education and Learning Series to be held January 2020. This year’s keynote speaker is Dr. Ibram X. Kendi, a New York Times bestselling author, Founding Director of The Antiracist Research & Policy Center at American University, and frequent ideas columnist at The Atlantic. Please save the date and join the UVM community for his keynote presentation to be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. in Ira Allen Chapel.

Tickets to the Keynote Event

Tickets to the Keynote presentation featuring Dr. Ibram X. Kendi will be available starting January 21st @ 8:00AM for the UVM community and January 24th for the general public.

  • Tickets are free and required for this event. 

  • Tickets available online, or get your ticket at the Dudley H. Davis Center, Miller Information Desk (3rd floor) during regular business hours.

Event Parking & Shuttle Information

Preceding the Event

  • A shuttle will be available starting at 3:00pm from the Patrick Gym at UVM.
  • Please park in the Gutterson Garage.
  • The shuttle will run continuous loops to Ira Allen chapel until 4:00pm.

Following the Event

  • The shuttle will pick up again at Ira Allen Chapel after the lecture at 5:30pm on University Place.
  • The shuttle will run continuous loops back to Patrick Gym and Gutterson Garage until 6:30pm.
