Archiving Vermont's LGBTQIA History: An Academic Discussion
Organized by the Center for Research on Vermont and UVM Special Collections and University Archives
Dewey Lounge, Old Mill, April 24, 2018 at 3 p.m. (until 4:30 pm)

In this roundtable discussion, scholars, archivists and community members will address questions about the preservation of LGBTQIA historical materials and documents. What should be collected? How would it be collected? Where could documents and other items be housed? What are the challenges to providing researchers with useful descriptive information and access?

Representatives from the Vermont Historical Society, Vermont Folklife Center, Middlebury College Special Collections & Archives, the Pride Center of Vermont, UVM Special Collections and University Archives, and other organizations will share some of their work and thinking around LGBTIQA archives. All are welcome.

Dewey Lounge is accessible. Please contact Sophia Trigg with any questions or to RSVP
