Terms and Conditions

  • These graduate degree and doctoral programs have been approved for all matriculated University of Vermont students from the eligible states indicated.
  • To qualify for the NEBHE tuition discount, students must declare a degree in a program approved for residents of their state, complete the NEBHE application with the Graduate College, and enroll in at least one course per semester that applies to this approved major. These requirements must be in place prior to the end of the course add/drop period each semester. Please email gradcoll@uvm.edu to request the NEBHE application.
  • Further, if a student drops the eligible course(s) or switches to an unapproved major prior to the end of the add/drop period, they will no longer be eligible for reduced tuition and will be billed accordingly.
  • Approval for eligible NEBHE programs is not retroactive; therefore the discount cannot be applied to past terms.
  • It is the responsibility of the student to review the tuition bill statement each semester to confirm the NEBHE tuition discount is applied. If the NEBHE tuition discount is expected, but is not listed on the bill, please contact Student Financial Services.

* This program will no longer be available for the NEBHE Tuition Break for students admitted into the Summer 2023 term, and after, because of the approval of a reduced tuition rate for all out of state residents

** These graduate programs have variable tuition rates for out-of-state students and therefore are only NEBHE eligible during the summer session.

For questions about undergraduate degree programs contact the Registrar's Office. For questions about graduate degree programs contact the Graduate College.
