Health & Sexuality Educator

Jenna Emerson (she/her) is a health and sexuality educator with a primary focus on inclusive, shame-free, and comprehensive sexuality education. Her areas of expertise range across a wide array of sexuality topics including sexual health, consent, healthy relationships, sexual violence prevention, pregnancy and STI prevention, pleasure, and LGBTQIA+ topics. She is also a Mental Health First Aid trainer and coordinates events across campus on various health topics. Emerson received her Masters of Education in Human Sexuality Studies from Widener University and her Bachelor's in Sociology from Seattle University. Some of her academic research topics include consent education, the social construction of virginity, and anti-oppressive, pleasure-centered sexuality education. Originally from California, Emerson is also a two-term AmeriCorps alumna, comedian, and lover of corgis.
