Eat the Invaders Dinner

Harris Millis Dining

Do your part to fight invasive species. Eat them.

Did you know that many invasive species that are out-competing native species and changing ecosystems around the globe are actually edible? Your ecologically-minded chef Eric Caravan at Harris Millis Dining is preparing a tasty way for you to help out—by eating them.

Inspired by the work of UVM Professor Joe Roman and his Eat The Invaders project, this meal will tickle your tastebuds with innovative dishes featuring invasive species like green crab, wild boar, periwinkles, white perch, watercress, sow thistle, and lamb's quarters.

Free to students with unlimited meal plan or $11.00 at the door. Open to the public.

Hosted by UVM Dining in collaboration with the Real Food Working Group and Red's Best.
