Students minoring in dance have full access to all the program has to offer, including courses and all special performance and creative opportunities. The minor in dance can be tied to a variety of majors in order to shape interesting careers paths and/or prepare students for exciting interdisciplinary graduate work.

There is no audition required. Declare the minor at any time through myUVM.

Required Courses

18 credits in minor courses, including:

  • DNCE 1500 Dance History and Legends
  • DNCE 1200 Movement & Improvisation
  • DNCE 2100 Contemporary: Intermediate
  • 6 additional credits in DNCE numbered 2000 or above:
  • 3 additional credits in DNCE at any level
