The MA in English at UVM welcomes students who wish to pursue the degree part-time. The Graduate College allows students to take up to five years to complete the MA, and we frequently have students take advantage of a longer time-to-degree to accommodate work or family considerations. For this reason as well, our graduate seminars are generally scheduled in the early evening hours.

Part-time tracks are designed on an individual basis, in consultation with the Director of Graduate Studies. Like full-time students, part-timers may pursue either our thesis or our comprehensive track.
