UVM collaboration with Srinivas Krishnan

The University of Vermont has been providing learning and performance experiences to college musicians for over 100 years, always adapting to the times. Whether you are interested in the music education degree (B.S. in Music Education), or in performance study (B.A. in Classical Studies, Jazz Studies, or Music Technology and Business), you receive individual attention that supports your personal and professional development. You join a community of musicians dedicated to growth through study and goal setting. Music minors and other non-music majors also participate fully in all our programs.

You learn through playing, singing, and reading music as you expand the musical vocabulary and imagination that enable you to work independently and develop your ability for deeper study. Our award-winning faculty is experienced at inspiring the best work from each student. Whether you are working in an ensemble, taking private lessons, or learning in the music theory/literature classroom, you connect to the depth of traditional music and learn to apply new concepts and techniques that will prepare you for a lifetime in music.

Take a moment to consider how music study in UVM’s liberal arts environment can nourish your growth as a musician and global citizen. Many of our students elect a double major in another major along with music. Our comprehensive B.A. curriculum supports such flexible learning options, while providing opportunities for you to learn and grow in music.
