OLum Testimonials

"Being around so many people and having the opportunity to be one of the first people that incoming students meet was a fantastic experience."

"The most important part of my position as an Orientation Leader is setting a positive benchmark for the new students. By creating an environment where they immediately feel comfortable, they are better primed to view UVM as a home; someplace they can succeed."

"Orientation is such a rewarding experience that has allowed me to foster connections between people, as awell as make new connections myself (with people I would have never met without the program!)"

"I reapplied to be an Orientation Leader because it was such a valuable and impactful experience for me. I had such an amazing time and met so many new people. Additionally, I gained so much confidence in my leadership abilities and in myself.  I went into Orientation a little hesitant that I could lead a group and feel comfortable doing so. By the end of Orientation, not only did I feel extremely comfortable in my role as a leader, but I found myself having an amazing time. I am more passionate about being a leader in other aspects in my life because of Orientation."
