The Humanities Center is pleased to once again be co-hosting the Mayor's Book Group with Burlington Mayor Miro Weinberger. Established in 2014, the Mayor's Book Group is a community reading program in which the Humanities Center gives away copies of a book on a timely and important topic and invites individuals to attend a book discussion led by a panel of experts and community members.

Our next event will focus on the book Street Fight: Handbook for an Urban Revolution, which details how New York City officials sought to change the city's streets to be more inclusive of pedestrians, bicyclists, buses, and green spaces. Pick up your free copy from the Mayor's Office, Fletcher Free Library, or on campus, the College of Arts and Sciences Dean's Office (439 College St.)

The book conversation will take place on April 17, 7-8:30pm at the Old Spokes Home in the Old North End--see full event details and RSVP:
