The UVM Office of Medical Communications highlights the work of the faculty, students, staff, and alumni of the College of Medicine. In support of the mission and goals of the University and the College, Medical Communications develops, implements and assesses programs in marketing communications, media relations, publications, executive communications, public relations, community relations, and events, as well as managing the College’s online presence and social media efforts. The premier publication of the College of Medicine, Vermont Medicine magazine, is published three times a year with features about faculty, students, staff, alumni, and the community. Medical Communications also publishes the bi-weekly online student e-newsletter and provides editing, content and production assistance with publications and materials for departments, programs and centers.
Medical Communications oversees the College website and online presence. The Office also offers strategy, implementation, and the web tools needed to manage individual websites, including training for webmasters, manuals for software programs and image editing, and developing a social media strategy.
