Four Seasons of CME
Preserving the passion for learning by sponsoring quality educational activities is the goal of Continuing Medical Education at the UVM College of Medicine/The University of Vermont Medical Center. Our programs provide opportunities for health care professionals to master what is new, gain fresh insights into the diagnosis and management of common clinical conditions, and share successes and challenges with colleagues. We offer a full series of medical courses each year, ranging from half-day seminars for regional physicians to week-long national conferences and international scientific symposia.
Our educational activities include live postgraduate courses, lecture series, seminars, simulation lab training, web-based education and regularly scheduled conferences.
Our educational opportunities include: grand rounds, tumor boards, case-based conferences, and morbidity and mortality conferences. These activities are held predominantly at the University of Vermont College of Medicine and The University of Vermont Medical Center. Several of our conferences are made available via telehealth to regional facilities.
The University of Vermont College of Medicine has been surveyed by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) and awarded Accreditation with Commendation for six years as a provider of continuing medical education for physicians.
