“Matt Flinner can play the mandolin as fast as anyone, but is also one of those rare virtuosos who knows that sometimes it’s the notes you don’t play that makes the melody great.” --- The Associated Press
Grammy-nominated mandolinist Matt Flinner was one of the first Vermont-based artists we called when we started putting together our Spring 2021 Sessions. He’s been on our stage before – performing with Robbie Fulks, and he is virtuosic, original, and a generous musical partner. He’ll be joined by Jamie Masefield and Will Patton (whom many of you remember from the late, great, Jazz Mandolin Project) along with bassist Pat Melvin for an evening of acoustic bluegrass, jazz, roots, improv – wherever these guys take us, we’re excited for the ride!
