The Vermont Symphony Orchestra (VSO) and Lane Series present a masterclass with renowned pianist Stephen Hough as part of his upcoming residency in Burlington.

This next generation of Vermont pianists has been chosen to take part in the masterclass with Stephen Hough:
• Isabella Gravina-Budis (14, from Charlotte)
• Richard Jiang (13, from South Burlington)
• William Lehninger Swist (10, from Spofford, NH)
• Tejas Srinivasan (19, from Middlebury).

They will perform music by Beethoven, Chopin, Haydn, and Betty Jackson King, and receive musical guidance from Mr. Hough.

This event and free and open to the public but requires pre-booking. There is a limit of 100 general seating tickets.

On Saturday, March 26, 2022 Hough performs Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 3 at the Flynn, conducted by VSO Music Director candidate Tania Miller. The concert also includes Sibelius’ Symphony No. 1 and Yatra by Sri Lankan/Canadian composer Dinuk Wijeratne. A link to our concert webpage can be found here.
