Perhaps these shows look familiar? That's because they were originally scheduled for early January of 2022, a time when it just didn’t seem feasible to gather. We were sad to postpone but are delighted that we were able to reschedule these extraordinarily busy musicians for a prime foliage weekend. The Lane Series and the Lake Champlain Chamber Music Festival bring you this mini-festival of early and middle period Beethoven piano trios with Gloria Chien, piano; Soovin Kim, violin; and cellist Paul Watkins of the Emerson String Quartet. Friday evening, they will present "Piano Trio in E-flat Major, Op. 1, No. 1; Trio in E-flat Major, Op. 70, No. 2" and Sunday afternoon will be "Piano Trio in C Minor, Op. 1, No. 3; Op. 70, No. 1, “Ghost” Trio in D Major". With two days of concerts at our Recital Hall bookending a full day of community outreach, these three brilliant musicians will share their unique insights into this incredibly rich vein of chamber music.
