Steam Powered

Steam power came into use on farms by the mid-19th century. However, horse power was not replaced with steam power. The machines were quite large and cumbersome and too rough in the fields.

The steam powered machines resemble the motorized tractors that appeared in the early 20th century. However, the bodies appear to be long and tubular, like a train engine, and a tall smokestack in present.
