\r\n \t\t\t\t\tYou must use a CAMPUS domain-joined<\/strong> Windows system to restore previous versions. This functionality is not available for macOS machines or personal Windows machines. \t\t\t\t<\/p>\r\n \t\t\t \t\t\t\r\n \t\t<\/div>\r\n \t\t\n

The file servers for Shared (S:) folders and Netfiles shares take several snapshots of their contents each day. You can access these snapshots and revert to them through the Previous Versions tab in the Properties window for a file or folder. These snapshots are kept for a couple of weeks, so if you notice missing or corrupted files in that time frame, you can sometimes recover them with this feature.<\/p>\n

  1. Right-click<\/strong> the folder that contains the damaged or deleted file. In the menu that appears, select Properties<\/strong>.\"Opening<\/a><\/li>\n
  2. In the window that appears, select the Previous Versions<\/strong> tab and then select the version of the folder that would have contained the version of the file you want. For example, if the file was deleted this morning, select the snapshot from last night (or very early this morning).\"Selecting<\/a><\/li>\n
  3. Click the\u00a0Open<\/strong> button to open a read-only window containing a version of the folder as it existed at that time.\"Opening<\/a> \t\t

    \r\n \t\t\t\t\tWhen viewing past versions of folders, be careful about using the Restore<\/strong> button. This button overwrites the entire folder with the version from the selected time. The Open<\/strong> button is safer and more versatile. \t\t\t\t<\/p>\r\n \t\t\t \t\t\t\r\n \t\t<\/div>\r\n \t\t<\/li>\n
