Additional Ethernet connections can use the\u00a0<strong>LAN2<\/strong>, and <strong>LAN3<\/strong> ports. The PassThru port will also work to establish an Ethernet connection in all dorms except for the Christie-Wright-Patterson (CWP) dorm.<\/p>\n    \t\t<div class=\"hts-messages hts-messages--danger  hts-messages--withtitle hts-messages--withicon \"   >\r\n    \t\t\t<span class=\"hts-messages__title\">Do not use the Console port<\/span>    \t\t\t    \t\t\t\t<p>\r\n    \t\t\t\t\tThe Console port will not function for internet access.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, those in Christie-Wright-Patterson (CWP) will not be able to use the PassThru port.     \t\t\t\t<\/p>\r\n    \t\t\t    \t\t\t\r\n underline;\"><strong>not<\/strong><\/span> be able to connect to the Internet using the\u00a0<strong>blue<\/strong> port.    \t\t\t\t<\/p>\r\n    \t\t\t    \t\t\t\r\n    \t\t<\/div><!-- class=\"hts-toggle__contentwrap\">\r\n    \t\t\t\t\t<p>If you are connected to the internet on your desktop or laptop computer, but you are redirected to netreg.uvm.edu whenever you attempt to use an internet browser, it&#8217;s possible that you are in a loop due to a computer cache error.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/go.uvm.edu\/clearcache\"> Please see this guide for instructions on clearing class=\"hts-toggle__title\"><h3>Device is registered, but still unable to connect<\/h3><\/div>\r\n    \t\t\t<div class=\"hts-toggle__content\">\r\n    \t\t\t\t<div class=\"hts-toggle__contentwrap\">\r\n    \t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>If you have properly registered your device, but you are still unable to get online, please attempt the following steps:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Completely power down your computer, gaming, or media device.<\/li>\n<li>Unplug your Ethernet cable both from the access point\/wall port and from your device.<\/li>\n<li>Reconnect your Ethernet cable with the access point\/wall port, selecting the proper port as specified in the previous sections of this article.\n<ul>\n<li>Make sure you hear or feel the Ethernet cable click, ensuring the cable is properly seated into the Ethernet port.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Plug the other end of the Ethernet cable into your computer, gaming, or media
