UVM’s\u00a0File Transfer Service<\/a> is available for sharing files and folders that are too large to send as email attachments or are in a file format not accepted by UVM’s email servers for security reasons.<\/p>\n

Anyone can use this service to transfer up to 100GB of files and folders, as long as a UVM affiliate is among the senders or recipients of a transfer.<\/p>\n \t\t

\r\n \t\t\tFiles and folders are available for exactly three weeks<\/span> \t\t\t \t\t\t\t

\r\n \t\t\t\t\t After a file or folder is removed from the server, it cannot be re-obtained<\/strong>. The original sender will need to send the file or folder again. \t\t\t\t<\/p>\r\n \t\t\t \t\t\t\r\n \t\t<\/div>\r\n \t\t\n

Sending as a UVM Affiliate<\/h3><\/div>\r\n \t\t\t

  1. Open a web browser and go to filetransfer.uvm.edu<\/a>, then click I am a UVM Affiliate\u00a0<\/strong>and, if prompted, sign in with your NetID credentials
    \n    \"\"<\/a><\/li>\n
  2. Click the Sent by me <\/strong>tab, then click Share files<\/strong>\u00a0to send a file or a set of files in a compressed (.zip) folder.

  3. Fill out the form, separating additional email addresses with a comma. Ensure all information is accurate and everything fully uploaded, then click Share Files<\/strong> in the bottom left corner.\n
    \n \t\t\tLeave the window open until you receive confirmation that all files and folders have been successfully uploaded<\/span> \t\t\t \t\t\t\t<\/p>\n

    \n \t\t\t\t\tClosing the window prematurely will disrupt the uploading process. \t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

    \n \t\t\tThere must be at least one UVM affiliate on the receiving end of files sent by a non-UVM affiliate<\/span>\n \t\t<\/div>\n

    1. Visit filetransfer.uvm.edu<\/a>, then click the Send to a UVM Affiliate<\/strong> radio button and choose\u00a0Share files<\/strong>.

    2. Fill out the form, separating additional email addresses with a comma. Ensure all information is accurate and everything fully uploaded, then click Share Files<\/strong> in the bottom left corner.\n

      \r\n \t\t\t\t\tFor the File Transfer service, only email addresses ending in “@uvm.edu” are considered UVM accounts. If a file was sent to your @med.uvm.edu address, please follow the instructions for “Viewing Files Sent to Your Non-UVM Account.” \t\t\t\t<\/p>\r\n \t\t\t \t\t\t\r\n \t\t<\/div>\r\n \t\t\n \t\t
