\"\"<\/a>UVM subscribes to a volume licensing program for the most commonly used Microsoft software. Microsoft Enrollment for Education Solutions<\/a>\u00a0is an annual subscription licensing program for Microsoft software.<\/p>\n

This agreement provides Microsoft Office 365 A3 licenses at no charge to active<\/em> UVM faculty, students, and staff<\/strong>. This license grants access to Microsoft 365 services, including Microsoft Office desktop and mobile apps, as well as 1TB of OneDrive cloud storage. You can use your UVM NetID to install and activate Microsoft 365 apps on up to 5 desktops\/laptops, 5 tablets, and 5 mobile devices. These devices can be UVM-owned or personal devices. The apps can be used for UVM or personal work.<\/p>\n \t\t

\r\n \t\t\tMicrosoft Office 365 A3 license is only for active faculty, students, and staff<\/span> \t\t\t \t\t\t\t

\r\n \t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n

Former Students, Retired or Non-Salaried Faculty and Staff, Emeriti Faculty, and Affiliated Org Employees DO NOT<\/strong> qualify for Office 365 A3 licensing through Microsoft EES.<\/p>\n

After leaving UVM and losing their A3 licenses, former students retain an A1 license for approximately one year. Retired staff and faculty retain their A3 licenses for approximately 3 weeks, at which point they switch over to the A1 license, which they keep indefinitely.<\/p>\n

The A1 license provides access to the web versions of Microsoft Office apps as well as 100GB of OneDrive cloud storage. Former affiliates with this license can access these by signing in to https:\/\/www.office.com<\/a> using their UVM email address.<\/p>\n

Installation<\/h2>\n

Please use the appropriate guide below to install Microsoft 365 apps on your device.<\/p>\n \t\t

\r\n \t\t\tDuo multi-factor authentication required<\/span> \t\t\t \t\t\t\t

\r\n \t\t\t\t\tFor most users, installing Microsoft 365 Apps requires Duo, so make sure you set that up first. We recommend using the Duo mobile app, which you can set up using instructions found here: https:\/\/www.uvm.edu\/it\/dev\/kb\/article\/duo-multi-factor-authentication\/<\/a> \t\t\t\t<\/p>\r\n \t\t\t \t\t\t\r\n \t\t<\/div>\r\n \t\t\n \t\t

  1. Navigate to https:\/\/go.uvm.edu\/getoffice<\/a> and log in.\n
    \n \t\t\tIs it a Microsoft or UVM sign-in prompt?<\/span> \t\t\t \t\t\t\t<\/p>\n

    \n \t\t\t\t\tIf you see a Microsoft sign-in page, you’ll want to enter your UVM email address, as it won’t recognize your NetID as being associated with UVM. This should bring you to UVM’s Single Sign-On page, where you can log in with your NetID and password. \t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

  2. From the Microsoft 365 landing page, click the Install and more<\/strong> button located near the upper-right corner of the page. From the menu that appears, select Install Microsoft 365 apps<\/strong>.\"Drop-down<\/a><\/li>\n
  3. Ensure you’re in the Apps & devices<\/strong> tab, and then click Install<\/strong> Office<\/strong>.\"Downloading<\/a><\/li>\n
  4. The\u00a0installer will begin downloading to your computer. When the download completes, locate and launch the installer.\"Office<\/a><\/li>\n
  5. The installer should download and install everything it needs without more input. When it finishes, the window should tell you “You’re all set!” and have a button to Close<\/strong> the window, which you can click. \"Message<\/a><\/li>\n
  6. Your Microsoft 365 license should have successfully activated all Office apps installed on your PC.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    6. Your Microsoft 365 license should have successfully activated all Office apps installed on your Mac.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      This guide will show steps for installing Microsoft Excel. These steps can be repeated to install other Microsoft 365 apps on your iOS devices.<\/p>\n

      1. Install\u00a0Microsoft Excel<\/strong> from the Apple AppStore.
        \n        \"\"<\/a><\/li>\n
      2. Once installed, open the\u00a0Excel<\/strong> app.
        \n        \"\"<\/a><\/li>\n
      3. Enter your email address in the following NetID@uvm.edu<\/strong> format.
        \n        \"\"<\/a><\/li>\n
      4. You’ll be redirected to the UVM WebAuth page. Enter your UVM NetID and password to authenticate.

      5. That’s it!\u00a0The iOS\u00a0Excel<\/strong> app should have successfully activated. Repeat the above steps to all other Office apps you wish to install (Word, PowerPoint, etc.)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        This guide will show steps for installing Microsoft Excel. These steps can be repeated to install other Microsoft 365 apps on your Android devices.<\/p>\n

        1. Install\u00a0Microsoft Excel<\/strong> from the GooglePlay store.
          \n          \"\"<\/a><\/li>\n
        2. Once installed, open the\u00a0Excel\u00a0<\/strong>app.
          \n          \"\"<\/a><\/li>\n
        3. You’ll be asked to\u00a0Allow Excel<\/strong>\u00a0access\u00a0<\/strong>to photos, media, and files on your device. If editing files stored on your device, you’ll want to select\u00a0ALLOW

          \n<\/strong><\/li>\n
        4. You’ll also be asked to allow\u00a0Excel<\/strong> access to your contacts. Choose whichever option fits your Excel needs.
