Requests for merging courses are now approved and managed by the Registrar’s Office. To request merging sections in Brightspace, please complete this form: <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\r\n \t\t\tCo-located Graduate-Undergraduate Courses<\/span> \t\t\t \t\t\t\t

\r\n \t\t\t\t\t <\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span>3\/5000-level or 4\/5000-level co-located courses sections cannot be merged in Brightspace<\/span><\/i>. \t\t\t\t<\/p>\r\n \t\t\t \t\t\t\r\n \t\t<\/div>\r\n \t\t<\/span><\/p>\n

Merging courses in Brightspace results in one course that contains all students in the parent course and child courses (those courses merged into the parent). This process cannot be reversed once completed. In the merged parent course, the sections will be similar to groups. Instructors will be able to filter views, restrict announcements, direct content, and control assessment access by section. But unlike groups you will be unable to alter enrollments.<\/p>\n

\r\n \t\t\t\t\t You will still see the child courses in Brightspace.\u00a0 They will have “DO NOT USE ” attached to the original name. Unless you activate these courses, students will not see them. \t\t\t\t<\/p>\r\n \t\t\t \t\t\t\r\n \t\t<\/div>\r\n \t\t<\/p>\n
