The following guide provides printing instructions for CEMS Students.<\/p>\n

Adding CEMS-Student-Printers to Your Computer<\/h3><\/div>\r\n \t\t\t
\r\n \t\t\t\t
\r\n \t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n
    \n
  1. Open Windows File Explorer (the folder icon on the Windows 10 taskbar) and type \\\\printers-cems.campus.ad.uvm.edu<\/strong>\u00a0into the address bar, and hit enter\n
    \\\\printers-cems.campus.ad.uvm.edu<\/pre>\n

  2. You will be prompted for a username and password to connect to the printer server. Enter CAMPUS\\your_NetID<\/i><\/strong> for the username and your NetID password<\/strong> in the password box\"Window<\/a><\/li>\n
  3. Double-click CEMS-Student Printers<\/strong> from the list of available printers
    \n    \"Windows<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
    You should now be able to print to any student copier on campus<\/p>\n

    Adding CEMS-Student-Printers to Your Computer<\/h3><\/div>\r\n    \t\t\t

    1. Open System Preferences<\/strong> > Printers & Scanners<\/strong><\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n
    2. Click the (+<\/strong>) button within Printers & Scanners<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
    3.  Click on the Advanced<\/strong> tab<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\n
        \n
      1. If you don\u2019t see the Advanced tab, right-click anywhere on the blank space at the top and select Customize toolbar, <\/strong>then drag the Advanced<\/strong>\u00a0icon up to the top bar.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
      2. Printer Settings:\"macOS<\/a>\n

        1. Type: Select <\/span>LPD\/LPR Host or Printer<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n
        2. Device: Select <\/span><\/span>Another Device<\/span><\/span><\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>
          <\/span><\/li>\n
        3. URL: Enter <\/span><\/span>lpd:\/\/Your_netID<\/strong>@printers-cems.campus.ad.uvm.edu\/CEMS-Student-Printers<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
          <\/span><\/li>\n
        4. Name: <\/span><\/span>Can be anything (Ex. CEMS Student Printing<\/span>)<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>

        5. Use: Select Generic PostScript Printer<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/span>

        6. Click\u00a0Add<\/strong><\/li>\n

          Release a Print Job<\/h2>\n    \t\t
          \r\n    \t\t\tStudents Without RFID CatCards<\/span>    \t\t\t    \t\t\t\t
          \r\n    \t\t\t\t\tIncoming students may have CatCards that do not have RFID scanning capability. For those students, please follow the steps under Mobile Release<\/strong>.    \t\t\t\t<\/p>\r\n    \t\t\t    \t\t\t\r\n    \t\t<\/div>\r\n    \t\t\n    \t\t
          \r\n    \t\t\t

          1. Swipe your card at the copier’s scanner\"WaveID<\/a><\/li>\n
          2. At the printer’s display, select Print Release\"\"<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n
          3. Select the jobs you’d like to release and press the Print<\/strong> button\"\"<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
            \n    \t\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n    \t\t\t<\/div>\r\n    \t\t<\/div>\r\n    \t\t\n    \t\t
            \r\n    \t\t\t
            Mobile Release<\/h3><\/div>\r\n    \t\t\t
            \r\n    \t\t\t\t
            \r\n    \t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n
            Each of the CEMS copiers has a QR code attached to it. Scan this QR code with your phone’s camera to begin Mobile Release.<\/p>\n
            \n    \t\t\tUVM Mobile Release WiFi Requirement<\/span>    \t\t\t    \t\t\t\t<\/p>\n
            \n    \t\t\t\t\tYour phone must be connected to UVM WiFi to reach the PaperCut Mobile Print Release site. If you are connected to a VPN such as Apple’s Private Relay, please disconnect your VPN before attempting to release your print job.    \t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
            \n    \t\t<\/p>\n
              \n
            1. Scan the QR code located at your printer. You’ll be presented with the following login screen\"\"<\/a><\/li>\n
            2. Authenticate using your netID<\/strong> and netID Password\"\"<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n
            3. Release your print job by selecting the document you’re trying to print and pressing the Release<\/strong> button\"\"<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
              \n    \t\t\tPaperCut Mobile Release<\/span>    \t\t\t    \t\t\t\t<\/p>\n
              \n    \t\t\t\t\tYou may also release your print job by visiting the main Mobility Release page and manually selecting your desired copier: https:\/\/printers-cems.campus.ad.uvm.edu\/user<\/a>    \t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
              \n    \t\t<\/p>\n

                Other Printer Features<\/h2>\n    \t\t

                Scanning<\/h3><\/div>\r\n    \t\t\t

                \r\n    \t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n
                Students can scan using the printers as well. To scan, log in with your CatCard and hit the scan button. The scan will be sent to your UVM email address as a PDF.<\/p>\n
                PaperCut also allows for scanning directly to OneDrive. This allows scan jobs to exceed the standard 20 MB limit imposed by email attachment size limits. To scan to OneDrive, follow these instructions.<\/p>\n
                  \n
                1. Scan your CatCard to log in to the copier and select Scan.<\/li>\n
                2. You will see two options, Scan to Email or OneDrive, tap OneDrive.<\/li>\n
                3. Select your scan settings and tap start.<\/li>\n
                4. Check your email for an email labeled “Authorize Scan for PaperCut MF to save to your OneDrive for Business” and click the “Login to OneDrive for Business” button.<\/li>\n
                5. You will be asked to log in to your UVM Microsoft account, enter your email as “netid@uvm.edu”. If you are not already logged in through UVM’s WebAuth you will be presented the standard login screen. Log in and you will then see a confirmation page.<\/li>\n
                6. You will then receive an email when your scan is successfully saved to your OneDrive, it will appear in the folder “Apps\/Scans for PaperCut MF”.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                  Copying<\/h3><\/div>\r\n    \t\t\t
                  \r\n    \t\t\t\t
                  \r\n    \t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n
                  Students can also copy on the printers. To copy, log in with your CatCard and hit the Device Functions button. This will bring you to a different screen with a copy button on it. Hit the Copy button and make copies. To log out from this screen, click the Access or Authenticate\/Logout button on the right side of the control panel.<\/p>\n
