Blue is a centralized online evaluation tool with decentralized control and access. It automates invitation and administration of surveys to students, compiles student feedback anonymously and securely, and delivers private, comprehensive reports to faculty members.<\/p>\n    \t\t<div class=\"hts-messages hts-messages--alert  hts-messages--withtitle hts-messages--withicon \"   >\r\n    \t\t\t<span class=\"hts-messages__title\">Blue Data Integrity Gateway (DIG) Administration<\/span>    \t\t\t    \t\t\t\t<p>\r\n    \t\t\t\t\tThese instructions are for DIG Administrators only. DIG Administrators review, edit, and approve course evaluation data assigned to them <em>before<\/em> course evaluations are published to students.<\/p>\n<p>The DIG administrative task periods for each semester are posted on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uvm.edu\/registrar\/course-evaluations\">Registrar\u2019s Course Evaluation information page,<\/a>\u00a0as well as a listing of the DIG administrator(s) for each academic unit or department.    \t\t\t\t<\/p>\r\n    \t\t\t    \t\t\t\r\n    \t\t<\/div><!-- \/.ht-shortcodes-messages -->\r\n    \t\t\n<p class=\"button-kb\"><a href=\"\/\/blue.uvm.edu\/uvm\">View your Blue DIG Tasks<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>DIG Administrators can<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>View the information on the courses they have been assigned.<\/li>\n<li>Edit the following course data fields:\n<ul>\n<li>Survey ID &#8211; select the set of questions used to evaluate a given course<\/li>\n<li>Course Evaluation Start Date &#8211; within the overall evaluation period<\/li>\n<li>Course Evaluation End Date &#8211; no later than the end of the overall evaluation period<\/li>\n<li>Instructors attached to a course and their role (e.g. \u2018Instructor\u2019, \u2018TA\u2019, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Evaluate Y\/N &#8211; whether to evaluate the course or not<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Batch edit and publish course data to make it available in the associated Blue evaluation period.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>DIG Administrators cannot<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Edit the student roster for a given course.<\/li>\n<li>Edit a course already published from DIG.<\/li>\n<li>Edit the survey questions themselves. You can modify the following Course Fields:\n<ul>\n<li>Survey ID<\/li>\n<li>Course Evaluation Start Date<\/li>\n<li>Course Evaluation End Date<\/li>\n<li>Evaluate Y\/N<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><div class=\"hts-messages hts-messages--danger  hts-messages--withtitle hts-messages--withicon \"   >\n    \t\t\t<span class=\"hts-messages__title\">Course Evaluation Start and End Dates<\/span>    \t\t\t    \t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>\n    \t\t\t\t\tEvaluation start and end dates function on full-day periods of 07:45 AM &#8211; 11:59 PM. With a zero enrollment the report will appear on\u00a0the instructor\u2019s list, but be marked as \u201cThreshold Not Met.\u201d This can be confusing for the instructor.<\/p>\n<p>Therefore,\u00a0we want to specifically mark those with zero enrollments as \u2018N\u2019 for \u201cEvaluate Y\/N.\u201d That way, the course does\u00a0not move into the reporting process at all.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>In the For those departments who have chosen to evaluate their TAs, there is a new process available in Banner Self-service to allow DIG admins to add their TAs to the Blue database each term.<\/p>\n<p><b>Note: <\/b>DIG admins need the \u2018DEAN\u2019 attribute attached to their record in Banner to be able to perform this task.
