\"TeamsInstructors will discover they are an owner of Class Teams that correspond with their normal courses.\u00a0Students cannot see or interact with courses until they are activated by an instructor.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Students enrolled in your course through Banner have also been added to the class team automatically, and the class roster will update your class team membership based on the feed from Brightspace which will run at least once every 24 hours, but likely more frequently.<\/p>\n \t\t

Class Teams are archived at the end of each semester. See this section below<\/a> to see what happens to your old Class Teams.<\/p>\n

Student membership can also be managed manually \u2013 for example, adding or removing a student from the class team \u2013 but keep in mind that if you do add or remove a person from the Team, that person will need to be managed manually from then on in that course. (This is because the system is avoiding undoing something you set up intentionally.)<\/p>\n \t\t

\r\n \t\t\tWhen to Activate your Teams?<\/span> \t\t\t \t\t\t\t

\r\n \t\t\t\t\tWe suggest waiting until you’re ready to respond to student inquiries before activating the class team. Once the team has been activated there isn’t a way to deactivate it \u2013 please plan accordingly. \t\t\t\t<\/p>\r\n \t\t\t \t\t\t\r\n \t\t<\/div>\r\n \t\t\n

Getting Started<\/h2>\n

The suggestions outlined in this section of the guide are flexible. It is more important that you organize your course content in a way that suits your<\/em> course than to strictly follow these guidelines.<\/p>\n \t\t

  1. When a team is created for one of your courses you’ll receive a notification in your Teams activity feed that looks like this:

  2. To see all of your teams, select Teams\u00a0<\/strong>from the sidebar.\"Team<\/a><\/li>\n
  3. When you open a class team for the first time you’ll be reminded that the team is currently hidden from students. This will give you time to configure and organize the team to fit your specific needs. \"Your<\/a>\n

  4. The default class team consists of the following items:\n
