\"\"<\/a>Enterprise Technology Services has created this KB guide at the request of UVM faculty and the Center for Teaching and Learning. This guide is meant to serve as an aid to students who need to capture presentations and share them remotely.<\/p>\n

ScreenPal<\/strong> (Formerly Screencast-O-Matic) is an easy-to-use screen recorder that can be used to capture any area of your screen with the option to add narration from your microphone and video from your webcam.<\/p>\n \t\t

ETS is limited in the support we can offer for this software, but we will make a best effort to assist with troubleshooting issues you might have.<\/p>\n

The steps below will walk you through the installation of Screencast-O-Matic FREE edition.<\/p>\n

  1. Navigate to https:\/\/screenpal.com\/uvermont. Sign in with your NetID and password if prompted
    \n    \"UVM<\/a><\/li>\n
  2. Click the checkbox <\/i> to the left of I agree to the Terms of Service<\/strong>, then click Launch the Recorder<\/strong>.

  3. When the download is complete, open the installer.\u00a0 When the installer is complete, it will show you the following window.\u00a0 Click launching from website<\/strong>.

  4. Click Launch free recorder<\/strong>.
    \n    \"Launch<\/a><\/li>\n
  5. Another installer will download.\u00a0 Open that up. When the installer is finished, the ScreenPal Recorder<\/strong> window will open. Click REC<\/strong> to begin recording your screen or Cancel<\/strong> to quit.

    This portion of the guide assumes that you’ve already installed the Screen Recorder software using the Installation<\/strong>\u00a0steps above.<\/p>\n

    1. Navigate to https:\/\/screenpal.com\/<\/a>, click the Record for free<\/strong> button.
      \n      \"Record<\/a><\/li>\n
    2. On the next page that loads, click the Launch Free Recorder<\/strong>\u00a0button.
      \n      \"\"<\/a><\/li>\n
    3. If a file downloads<\/em>, open the downloaded file. If you receive something like the following prompt, click the Open Screen Recorder Launcher<\/strong>\u00a0or Open Link<\/strong> button. Check the Always allow<\/strong> box first to make next time easier.\"Always<\/a><\/li>\n
    4. The Screen Recorder<\/strong> will open. The dash rectangle outlines the area of your screen that will be recorded. You can adjust the frame by click-and-dragging the corner or center marker that sit inside the frame.
