\"Outlook<\/a>This guide is intended to help macOS users who do not have the Teams meeting button in Outlook.<\/p>\n

The guide outlines the necessary configuration and requirements that need to be met for the Teams meeting button<\/strong> to populate in your Outlook client.<\/p>\n

\r\n \t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t

\r\n \t\t\t\t\tThe Teams meeting button will appear only after the following requirements have been met:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Microsoft Office is licensed via Office 365 and has been activated with your netid@uvm.edu account.<\/li>\n
  2. Your netid@uvm.edu account has been added to Outlook using the proper settings.<\/li>\n
  3. The MS Teams desktop client has been installed on your computer, and you have logged in with your netid@uvm.edu account. \t\t\t\t<\/p>\r\n \t\t\t \t\t\t\r\n \t\t<\/div>\r\n \t\t<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    If the Teams meeting button is missing from your Outlook client, please use the toggles below to complete each of the above requirements.<\/p>\n \t\t

    \r\n \t\t\t

    1. Switch to Office 365 licensing<\/h3><\/div>\r\n \t\t\t
    \r\n \t\t\t\t
    \r\n \t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n

    You must be using the Office 365 Subscription<\/strong> activated with your\u00a0NetID account<\/strong> for the Teams Meetings button to appear in Outlook. Follow these instructions to locate your Office version<\/a>.<\/p>\n

    \"Outlook<\/a><\/p>\n

    If you are currently utilizing the Volume License<\/strong> you will need to\u00a0switch your Office version<\/a> to Office 365.<\/p>\n

    If you are already using the Office 365 Subscription<\/strong>, but it belongs to a different NetID, you will need to follow the instructions detailed in this guide from Microsoft to remove your License files<\/a>. Then, sign back into Office 365 using your NetID credentials.<\/p>\n

    \n \t\t\tRestart Outlook<\/span> \t\t\t \t\t\t\t<\/p>\n

    \n \t\t\t\t\tOutlook will need to be quit and reopened for these changes to fully take effect. When Outlook reopens, proceed to step 2. \t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

    \n \t\t<\/p>\n

    \n \t\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n \t\t\t<\/div>\r\n \t\t<\/div>\r\n \t\t\n \t\t

    \r\n \t\t\t

    2. Configure your UVM email account in Outlook<\/h3><\/div>\r\n \t\t\t
    \r\n \t\t\t\t
    \r\n \t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n
      \n
    1. Open the Outlook <\/strong>app, then click Outlook<\/strong> in the top left corner menu, and select Settings<\/strong>.
      \n      \"Outlook<\/a><\/li>\n
    2. Select\u00a0Accounts.
      \n      \"Outlook<\/a>
      \n<\/strong><\/li>\n
    3. Your NetID@uvm.edu<\/strong> account should be added as an Office 365<\/strong> account. If you see “first.last@uvm.edu” or “IMAP” (for example), remove the account using the minus symbol (<\/i><\/strong>) button, and re-add it using these instructions<\/a>.

      \n \t\t\tReopen Outlook<\/span> \t\t\t \t\t\t\t<\/p>\n

      \n \t\t\t\t\tOutlook will need to be closed and reopened for these changes to fully take effect. When Outlook reopens, proceed to step 3. \t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

      3. Sign into the Teams Desktop client<\/h3><\/div>\r\n \t\t\t

      If Microsoft Teams is not installed on your computer, please see our Microsoft Teams guide<\/a> to install and sign-in.<\/p>\n

      If you have Teams installed, but you are signed into the wrong account, sign\u00a0out by clicking the portrait in the top right corner of Teams and selecting Sign out<\/strong>. Then, reopen Teams and sign-in using the instructions in our Microsoft Teams guide<\/a>.

      After successfully completing the steps above, you should be able to create a Teams meeting directly from your Outlook calendar.<\/p>\n
