A physical desk phone is no longer required (although, you can continue to use one if that is your preference).<\/p>\n    \t\t<div class=\"hts-messages hts-messages--info  hts-messages--withtitle hts-messages--withicon \" id=\" \"  >\r\n    \t\t\t<span class=\"hts-messages__title\">VeraSMART Work Orders<\/span>    \t\t\t    \t\t\t\t<p>\r\n    \t\t\t\t\tThe <strong>Cisco Jabber<\/strong> service is <strong>only available to those who have already been assigned a UVM phone number. <\/strong>To Request one, an authorized user can <strong>submit a VeraSMART PHONE work order<\/strong>. Please reach out to your supervisor or department business administrator if your are unsure. When a work order has been created in VeraSMART, a work order number is generated which you can reference during any follow-up conversations.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a hts-messages--withtitle hts-messages--withicon \"   >\r\n    \t\t\t<span class=\"hts-messages__title\">VPN Required for Initial Off-Campus Phone Server Connections<\/span>    \t\t\t    \t\t\t\t<p>\r\n    \t\t\t\t\tBe sure to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uvm.edu\/it\/kb\/article\/sslvpn2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">connect to the UVM VPN using Cisco Secure Client<\/a> prior to initial setup and sign-in.<\/p>\n<p>Closing and reopening Cisco Jabber uses cached credentials and server information &#8211; you should not require an active VPN connection for subsequent sign-ins.     \t\t\t\t<\/p>\r\n    \t\t\t    \t\t\t\r\n    \t\t<\/div><!-- \/.ht-shortcodes-messages -->\r\n    \t\t\n    \t\t<div class=\"hts-toggle  \"  >\r\n    \t\t\t<div class=\"hts-toggle__title\"><h3>Company Portal (Windows)<\/h3><\/div>\r\n    \t\t\t<div class=\"hts-toggle__content\">\r\n    \t\t\t\t<div class=\"hts-toggle__contentwrap\">\r\n    \t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>If you have a UVM-owned and managed Windows PC, the preferred method for downloading and installing the Cisco Jabber app is through another app called Company Portal, which should already be installed.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Click the \u00a0<i class=\"fa fa-windows fa- \"><\/i>\u00a0 button, search for <strong>Company Portal<\/strong>, and <strong>Open<\/strong> it up.<\/li>\n<li>Search or browse within the Company Portal app for <strong>Cisco Jabber<\/strong>, select it, and click <strong>Install<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>When the installation has finished, click the \u00a0<i class=\"fa fa-windows fa- \"><\/i>\u00a0 button, search for <strong>Cisco Jabber<\/strong>, and <strong>Open<\/strong> it up.<\/li>\n<li>Enter your UVM email address, then click\u00a0<strong>Continue<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Enter your UVM NetID and
