The University of Vermont provides on-campus flu shot clinics and biometric screening opportunities for UVM employees. As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the flu shots are even more integral to the health of our worksites and community

2021 Flu Shot Clinics

UVM Employee Wellness partners with the UVM Medical Center to bring flu shots to the UVM community. Registration is required. Walk-ins and late appointments will not be accepted. Email EmployeeWellness@uvm.edu with any questions.

Dates and Registration

Please bring completed copies of the Patient Financial Agreement and Registration forms, your BCBSVT card, photo ID, and a pen to your appointment. Please add the appointment to your calendar and arrive on time for your appointment.

  • Monday, October 4: 7:30-2:00pm (Davis Center 400/401)
  • Friday, October 15: 8:30am-3:00pm (Waterman 427A)
  • Thursday, October 21: 8:30am-3:00pm (Waterman 427A)
  • Tuesday, October 26: 8:00am-4:30pm (Davis Center 400/401)
  • Thursday, November 4: 8:30-3:00pm (Waterman 427A)

Payment

If you ARE covered on the UVM healthcare plan with BCBSVT, there is no cost to you for the flu shot. You must present your BCBSVT card and a photo ID.

If you are NOT covered on the UVM healthcare plan with BCBSVT, you will need to pay with a check at the time of the flu shot. The University of Vermont Medical Center will charge non-company BCBSVT insured employees who participate in the vaccination or screening event $26 per vaccination via cash or checks payable to The University of Vermont Medical Center. Credit and debit cards are NOT accepted. Please email EmployeeWellness@uvm.edu with any questions.

Flu Shot Clinic Safety Precautions

Some safety precautions that you may see in place:

  • Appointments only
  • Screening for temperature and symptoms prior to entry
  • Personnel wearing more personal protective equipment
  • More frequent sanitization of all surfaces including waiting areas

Considerations

If any employees are experiencing any of the following symptoms, the employee will not be allowed to enter the clinic.

  • Fever/Chills
  • Cough
  • Shortness of Breath
  • Fatigue
  • Muscle or Body Aches
  • Headaches
  • New loss of taste or smell
  • Sore Throat
  • Congestion/Runny Nose
  • Nausea/Vomiting
  • Diarrhea
