Rationale: The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) protects qualified individuals with disabilities as they seek employment and while they are working. How does UVM fulfill its responsibilities as an employer and what is your role as a member of the University community? Bring your questions and concerns to this workshop led by UVM’s Faculty and Staff ADA Liaison.

Overall Objectives: We will take a look at the ADA, focusing especially on the responsibilities supervisors have in interviewing, hiring, interactive discussion and reasonable accommodation as they relate to UVM’s faculty and staff.

Effective Performance Appraisal (Basic Level)

Target Audience:  Supervisors of UVM Staff
Time Allotted: 2 hours

Rationale: Learn about the staff appraisal process at UVM. In one single meeting, a wealth of information can be shared, leading toward a better understanding of the work, the challenge it offers, and the professional growth of the individual performing it.

Overall Objectives: You'll be well-prepared to initiate the appraisal process, provide performance feedback, and set goals as a result of this learning experience.
