At the quarantine location most students will stay in double rooms with an assigned roommate. We will be sure to honor all existing gender-neutral housing requests and housing accommodations needs currently on file.
Please keep in mind that you are completing a State and University mandated quarantine for the purpose of observing and monitoring your health status for the potential development of symptoms. During this time contact with others, aside from your assigned roommate, must be minimized as much as possible.
Day 1 and 2: During the first two days of quarantine, you may only leave your room to pick your meals from UVM Dining Services while awaiting the results of your Day 0 test. You should call the on-call number if you have any issues and you may not have food delivered to the hotel during this time.
Day 3 and beyond: You may leave your room only to attend UVM scheduled activities for your cohort and to pick up your meals. There are a variety of virtual and in person programs and activities during quarantine, but overall, you will spend the majority of the time in your assigned room.
Professional staff will be on-site and living at the hotel 24/7. These staff members will be a regular presence in the community and will be a great resource for any issue issues that come up. In addition, a UVM information desk will be staffed to help you with any questions or issues that may arise.
Please note: Congregating in common areas, other student rooms, and leaving the property are egregious violations of the Green and Gold Promise as well as quarantine expectations and and could result in significant sanctions including suspension. Because eating requires you to remove your face covering, all meals will be consumed in your assigned room.
