CAPS Intern

Tristen Litterio (she/her) is completing her final year of her Master’s of Social Work through Ohio State University with a specialization in mental health and substance misuse. She earned her B.A. from the University of Vermont where she majored in Psychological Sciences and Philosophy. She has worked as a behavioral interventionist for the Howard Center’s Inclusion program, providing support to children and adolescents struggling with emotional challenges and histories of trauma in a public-school setting. Prior to her internship at CAPS, Tristen worked for Northeast Arc, an agency in Massachusetts providing behavioral services to toddlers, children, and adolescents with various cognitive and developmental disabilities, primarily those with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Tristen’s professional areas of interests include recovery from eating disorders, trauma, development across the lifespan, managing anxiety and depression, healing from substance use disorders, empowerment, peer support, body liberation, and social and racial justice.
